The Maira Valley, located in the south-west of Piedmont and close to the border with France, offers a multitude of interesting scenic and technically perfect routes to be tackled with an E-bike. Thanks to an extensive network of ex-military roads that are still passable, the Maira Valley is an ideal destination for those who want to put their E-Bike to the test.

The Maira Valley can also benefit from a relatively mild climate due to its geographical location only 60 km as the crow flies from the Mediterranean Sea, while still talking about a decidedly alpine and unspoilt landscape (a unique characteristic of this valley). The beauty and tranquillity of nature are in fact not disfigured by ski lifts and other installations. Rich in history, the Maira Valley has 194 hamlets divided into 14 municipalities, with numerous old houses and churches with important medieval frescoes; evidence of a period of intense life in an area that is now in a state of total abandonment.

As a support point for e-bikers, we recommend the Albergo Diffuso Ceaglio di Marmora Borg. Vernetti 1223 m. asl. A family-run inn with rooms and accommodation located throughout the hamlet, making it unique in the valley.

The Albergo Diffuso Ceaglio also offers various services designed especially for mountain-bikers and their eBikes, such as an equipped area for small repairs, recharging stations and a protected shelter for eBikes.

Starting directly from the Albergo Diffuso or with just a few kilometres of transfer, numerous attractive itineraries can be undertaken in the periods: mid-May to the end of October. It is worth noting that one of the proposed tours, ideal to tackle with e-bikes, reaches the highest pass in the Cottian Alps, the Colletta on Monte Bellino, 2830 m, which is perfectly passable with an e-bike.
